In August 2020, Edvaldo Cunha passed away as a result of Covid 19, it was the first year of the pandemic and the feeling of discouragement took over the whole family. Taken by the pain of grief, Marília returns to her hometown and experiences this journey of transformation and healing with the women in her family. “Saudades” makes a poetic portrait of the mourning lived by three women: daughter, mother and grandmother. It is a documentary about grief, belonging and family relationships.
