Unbroken
directed by:
Shukhrat Makhmudov
During the Second World War, 101 soldiers from Uzbekistan are captured by the Nazis and transported to a concentration camp in occupied Holland, where they were abused in a German attempt to tell a story of "Untermenschen". The documentary makers show a true story, with gripping interviews of eyewitnesses and a focus on the emotions of the Uzbeks, that proves that they can be killed as persons, but do not break as the people of Uzbekistan.
