The Letter
directed by:
Ivan Sosnin
"The film tells the story of generational relationships, the film is about love and the life in the russian village. In modern Russia the villages are dying out. There are still people living in the villages like the one in the film. Small villages in the middle of the country, in those places there is no work, and the man has to take the work contracts somewhere far away to earn money to feed the family (usually it is oil companies). For younger generation It is extremely important to know and care about their own history. Indeed, without this support the concept of a "village" is simply erased from the earth."
