The Pastor's Women
In a rural Roma community in Romania, a Pentecostal pastor’s wife is hard at work. In-between neverending cleaning and taking care of her young daughters, she is also set to radically change the way of life of her Roma people. She fulfills her church duties as the pastor’s wife but also, she proves to be a pillar of real support for the women in her community. Amid the crushing poverty and social deprivation of the Roma, the Pastor’s family and especially the Pastor’s wife, brings hope and courage in the community. By her side, her six daughters have a more ambiguous relationship with God, trying to make sense of the prayers, the poverty, the nothingness.
